Lucia Di Lammermoor this November
The ever-popular opera with the world's most famous mad scene portrayed by Metropolitan Opera Soprano, Lisette Oropesa, with Metropolitan Opera Bass Jeffrey Wells and the Opéra Louisiane Orchestra. Lucia Di Lammermoor will be performed November 14, 2008 at the River Center Theatre for the Performing Arts, Baton Rouge. Tickets will be available July 1, 2008.
Opéra Louisiane presents The Magic Flute on September 18-20, 2008 in a newly commissioned, condensed, action-intensified version with new orchestral accompaniment, set and costumes. The Magic Flute will be performed at the River Theater for the Performing Arts, Baton Rouge. The Young People's Opera presents fully-staged productions of operas for 4th through 6th grade children, free of charge. Tickets will be available May 1, 2008.
